Alternative Provision

A supportive service for students who are unable to access mainstream education, with full access to our facilities and resources in a tailored, creative learning environment. We conform to safeguarding regulations and are listed in the Norfolk County Council Directory of Unregulated Alternative Provision with Norfolk County Council.

At JDT Music Academy, we offer a calm, nurturing environment where students can learn in a way that suits them best. Our alternative provision is tailored to individual needs, allowing each young person to progress at their own pace, build confidence, and gently develop social interaction in a safe, creative space.

Admissions Criteria

  • Our Alternative Provision is available to young people from age 6
  • We work closely with schools, parents, and commissioning bodies to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive—both personally and academically.
  • To maintain strong partnerships and high standards, we require all new commissioning bodies to carry out a site visit prior to the agreement of any student placement. This helps ensure that they are fully informed about our provision and the environment we offer.
  • We welcome prospective students to visit the studio, either in person or virtually, to gain a sense of our setting before starting. During these visits, students and their families will have the opportunity to meet with our AP Liaison & Director, Janel, who will be on hand to answer any questions about the studio and our Alternative Provision.
