RockavoX’s Special Keyworker Tribute

JDT Music Academy Dereham Norfolk News

The lock-down has been a strange time for us all. It’s forced us to rethink the way we go about our daily lives, made us reevaluate our priorities and helped us appreciate what’s most important in our lives. The staff at JDT are no exception, and we’ve been working tirelessy behind the scenes to bring as many of our music services online as possible. We have been absolutely thrilled by the reception of our students and families who have embraced and welcomed the changes, and while we’re down two staff and have lost or suspended approx. 60% of our normal workload, it’s keeping us going and, for that, we’re truly grateful!

RockavoX are no exception to the rule, and they’ve been working hard to adapt to their online sessions (which now involve gin or wine in many cases!). It’s been so important to keep the group together and we’ve had some real giggles. Rehearsals are very different online- we have huge delays due to internet connections so it’s virtually impossible to sing together at the same time. However, we’ve started lots of new projects so we’re keeping busy!

One of those projects was to create and record a special tribute to our wonderful Keyworkers, the result of which can be found above, It took a few weeks to execute, but we hope you agree the final product is beautiful and a fitting dedication to their incredible work. We’re trying to share this with the world, so if you have the opportunity to share our link with friends and family, we would be sooooo grateful.

Next in the pipeline is a fun rendition of Rainbow Connection that are Minivoxers are working on as we speak! Watch this space……

Thanks for your continues support. We hope that we will see you all again soon- the studio is very lonely without us all xxx
